Neil Breen says staggering rises in power bills will continue to hit Australians hard over the next 12 months.

“One of the things I have been telling you about for some time the biggest cost that will hit Australian families in the next 12 months will be rising power bills, you better believe it,” he said.

Neil’s been told his electricity and gas will be on the rise.

4BC listener Daniel wrote to Neil saying he had been alerted by his energy supplier that his power bill go up by 30 per cent.

Caller Rebecca was in the same boat.

“Our power is on the very high end, we average about $14.80 a day for a family of 6,” she said.

“It’s increased just over the last year, quite a bit.”

She said they have also been told by their provider that it will likely rise.
