It’s been a horror month on Queensland’s roads, with 12 motorcyclists dying in crashes on the state’s road network.

This weekend alone was the deadliest weekend yet, with all four road deaths involving motorcycles.

President of the Queensland Motorcycle Council says they are deeply concerned with the trend in road deaths.

“This month has really been both alarming and very sad for us,” he told Neil Breen.

But he said there’s no silver bullet to fix the problem.

“It seems from the reports that we see from time to time that the older age bracket seems to be over-represented,” he said.

“One of the challenges for us is making sure when the data is produced that it is one consistent that we can compare things correctly and that we are getting an accurate representation of that data when it comes through.”
