Researchers are calling for a national training program for rural clinicians to help more women have access to ultrasound services in remote Australia.

A study has found a lack of ultrasound equipment and training for rural clinicians is contributing to higher death rates and fetal abnormalities in remote areas.

Rural Reporter Brady Evans caught up with University of South Australia medical radiation lecturer Amber Bidner to find out more.
