Not reading to kids could mean hyperactivity

Groundbreaking research by a team at Deakin University has found that failing to read to children could lead to a higher chance of developing hyperactivity-inattention.

The study tracked almost 5,000 Australian children from the age of four until 15.

Senior psychology lecturer Dr Elizabeth Westrupp explains to Mark that it’s vital kids in primary school aren’t allowed to fall behind their peers.
