To celebrate World Record Day this year the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) resurrected the vinyl album chart.

There have only been two so far but each has been a mix of classics like Queen’s Greatest Hits and new artists.

Dr Daryl Sparkes from the University of Southern Queensland is a vinyl tragic and tells Mark while records only accounted for $20 million in sales last year, sales have been growing consistently for the last eight years.
