Nick Giannopoulos has opened up about the personal side to his iconic character, Steve Karamitsis’ return to the big screen.

12 years on from The Kings ofMykonos, ‘The Wog Boy’ is back with his best mate Frank in Wog Boys Forever.

Giannopoulos told Sofie Formica while it’s “very much an Australian film”, there’s an emotional side to the story.

“This film’s very much dedicated to our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, who got on boats in the ’50s and ’60s and came to Australia to seek out a better life for us, their kids.

“My father passed away shortly just before we started filming and I dedicated this film to him. There’s a lot of him in the film.”
