Youth crime has dominated a fiery state parliament today, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk moving to assure the community the government is listening to concerns around youth justice laws.

The state Opposition is also putting pressure on the government to make breach of bail an offence.

“What the Opposition wants, is breach of bail brought back in as an offence, and this is where you see the feisty scenes between the government, who says we have presumption against bail, and that is a stronger law than breach of bail,” Nine News senior reporter Tim Arvier explained.

There’s also been a renewed push for the government to release the review into youth bail laws, lead by Bob Atkinson.
