Wally Lewis: Why Townsville’s home advantage is packing extra punch

League great Wally Lewis is tipping the humidity will be a huge factor in the qualifying clash between North Queensland Cowboys and Parramatta Eels tonight in Townsville.
The King said some had written-off the Cowboys early in the season, but some of their performances in recent rounds had been magnificent.
He predicts the hot weather will have a significant impact on the outcome of the game.
“It will play a part in the game, there’s no doubt about that,” he told Bill McDonald, filling in on 4BC Afternoons.
“I think those that have been here before, putting up with that every day of their lives, or every game that they’re playing, know how to handle it.
“The coach is probably one that handles it quite well, he will know the rotation policy that he’s going to have to put in place.
“A lot of that will be controlled, of course, by how the game is going and how well, how effective the Eels are adjusting to it.
“But the Cowboys, it’s just something they deal with each and every day up in Townsville.
