Macquarie Radio newsreader Tony Tardio says he’s waiting for an apology from a fellow journalist who aggressively shoved him in a fiery end to yesterday’s Cricket Australia press conference in Melbourne.

The Australian reporter Chip le Grand seemed to take exception to Tony asking questions of James Sutherland because he thought he was a member of the public.

When Tony confirmed he was a member of public, vision appears to show le Grand pushing him over.

Tony told 3AW, Macquarie Radio’s Melbourne station, he hasn’t heard from le Grand since.

“I would like an apology, because this is my workplace as well,” he said.

“What I didn’t like was the sense that I’m not in that little clique of three or four or five journos who seem to be at those media conferences all the time.”
