The Coalition has suffered its 29th consecutive Newspoll loss, one step away from the result Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull used to knock Tony Abbott off the top job.

Smithy’s All-Star Rowan Dean says the Prime Minister is leading Australia straight to a Labor government.

“The last thing this country needs is a Bill Shorten government with Chris Bowen as Treasurer,” he tells Chris Smith.

“On every level, it will be a disaster.

“We’re now in the position where Malcolm Turnbull is taking us straight toward a Shorten government.”

He says the Prime Minister didn’t take advantage of Labor’s unpopular tax plan, which could hit over 600,000 people on the lowest incomes.

“Even when they’re so brazen to go after people’s own money, the inability of Malcolm Turnbull to cut through and talk the language of the people and to show conviction… he won’t take the fight.”
