‘Raving lunatics’ shut down Brisbane CBD, multiple protesters arrested
More than 20 people have been arrested as hoards of activists join in on a climate protest in the centre of Brisbane.
Extinction Rebellion protesters have been arrested for blocking traffic after crowds of activists converged on William Street.
There is a heavy police presence monitoring the protest, which has caused heavy traffic in the CBD.

Margaret Street has now been blocked by protesters, with police coming in to remove them forcibly.
Ray Hadley says the government needs to act.
“You can’t have a city as big as Brisbane put into lockdown, on a regular basis, by these raving lunatics.”
