Qld teachers using ChatGPT to write lesson plans, letters to parents
Queensland educators are embracing the uses of an artificial intelligence bot described as being “like a teacher’s aid”.
The Courier Mail reports that in an online forum, Queensland teachers discussed how they’ve been using ChatGPT to write letters to parents and lesson plans.
Tech expert Trevor Long told Laurel & Mark he had a PE teacher experiment with the technology and saw some “amazing results”.
“We asked ChatGPT, ‘Write me a lesson plan for Year 8 students in Queensland in a physical education class about a topic’,” he said.
“Now, you might not have taken that and run with it but you certainly could use it as a base to go and make your own lesson plan.
“If it helps, if it makes life a little bit easier, why wouldn’t we embrace it?”
