QLD student tasered after allegedly stabbing a primary school teacher

A 12-year-old girl has been tasered by police after allegedly stabbing a teacher at a Queensland primary school.
The female teacher at Heatley State Primary School in Townsville is understood to have been stabbed in the shoulder with a knife.
Police confirmed the girl is in custody and the teacher is being treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Nine News reporter Lily Greer tells Ben Fordham police do not know what prompted the stabbing.
“Plenty of concerned parents found out over social media, rocked up to the school to see if they could pull their kids out of class.
“They were told that their kids were safe and that they didn’t need to take them out of school early.”
