Police stand-off at Nerang ends with arrest of two men

An 18-hour siege at Nerang has ended with police arresting of two men.
BREAKING | Two men have been arrested following a drawn-out siege at Nerang.
The exclusion zone previously declared in the area has been revoked.

EARLIER
A stand-off between police and two wanted men is continuing on the Gold Coast this morning after it began yesterday afternoon.
Police made an emergency declaration at Nerang around 5pm Wednesday and residents were told to stay inside.

It’s understood the incident began after officers attempted to serve the pair two return to prison warrants.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
