Young Qld men less interested in binge drinking

A new report has revealed that young Queensland men are much less likely to binge drink than their parents or grandparents.

The Health of Queenslanders 2018 report found that since 2010 the rate of young men consuming alcohol at risky levels had fallen 31%, while for men 65 and over drinking excessively rose 32%.

Qld Health chief psychiatrist and chief alcohol officer Dr John Reilly tells Mark the numbers even took him a bit by surprise.
