Talking further on SsangYong, the Korean brand is back, this time as a fully backed factory subsidiary with strong volume ambitions. SsangYong arrives with a new model line-up encompassing the small 5 and 7-seat Tivoli SUV, the fourth-generation Rexton 4WD and the new-generation Musso dual-cab ute. All feature sharp drive-away pricing and with seven-year unlimited kilometre warranty, road side assistance and fixed price servicing. SsangYong has an interesting history, Korea’s oldest vehicle manufacturer, now majority owned by Indian company Mahindra. I’ll talk first up about the new small Tivoli SUV – a five seater with a choice of 1.6 –litre petrol and diesel engines and depending on model in front or all-wheel-drive and in six speed manual or auto. The entry Petrol manual Tivoli EX starts at $23,490 drive-away$33,990, the range running up to $33,990 in all-wheel-drive Ultimate diesel.
