Sir Iain Duncan Smith – ‘Hong Kong is now a rescue mission’
Michael is joined by Sir Iain Duncan Smith, former leader of the U.K. Conservative Party, regarding China passing its National Security Bill for Hong Kong this week which he calls a “constitutional coup and a tragedy for its freedom-loving people.”
The bill stands in direct violation of its obligations under the Sino-British Joint Declaration and the Hong Kong government’s commitments as a signatory of the International Covenant on Civil Rights.

Sir Iain Duncan Smith is also the chair of the inter-parliamentary Alliance on China, an international cross-party group of legislators working towards reform on how democratic countries approach China, which includes Australian MPs, Liberal Andrew Hastie & Labor Senator Kimberley Kitching,
