Should bumblebees be used to pollinate crops?
Bumble bees in Tasmania are being monitored, with new state of the art technology.
The insects are considered an invasive species and were introduced to the island state in the 1990s.
Researchers will fit the bees with micro radio transmitters to monitor their environmental impact and how they can be used to pollinate Tasmanian crops.
