Red card for political football

Paralympic and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Kurt Fearnley is sick of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) being used as a political football.

This follows the Turnbull Government’s decision to axe a hike in the Medicare levy to fund the scheme

Ahead of accepting the Keys to City when he leads the Commonwealth Athletes Parade through the Mall, Kurt told Ben ‘The funding idea keeps getting kicked down the road’ and will be held to the mercy of political events, timing and elections.
