Michael is joined by Damian Kelly, from Business NSW, the state’s peak business organisation, who believe the Productivity Commissioner’s White Paper report into rebuilding the economy provides the blueprint for the NSW government to ensure a business-led recovery following the pandemic.

The Commission identified 60 opportunities aimed at facilitating the state’s economic recovery. The opportunities incorporate the lessons and opportunities identified from the pandemic – in particular, lessons from relaxing the regulations designed to keep the economy moving during the height of the pandemic.

It focuses on four key areas:

·        Supporting a skilled and high performing workforce

·        Enabling new technologies and ways of doing things

·        Improving housing choice and affordability

·        Smarter use of our infrastructure and natural resources
