Mazda updates two of its SUV’s for 2021

Mazda finished last year 12.3 per cent down on 2019 but still firmly in No 2 position behind Toyota and ahead of Hyundai. SUV’s now represent 65 per cent of sales so it’s no surprise that its entry CX-3 and flagship CX-9 have just received updates. The Mazda CX-3, the dominant small SUV with 48 per cent of the business, gains more equipment, two new variants and fresh colours to see in the new year. The entry price has risen by $180 kicking off at $22,890 but it gains redesigned seats, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and night-time pedestrian detection for its brake support system. The large Mazda CX-9 now comes in no less than 12 models with a new all-wheel flagship and mid-range sports model. The new top-range Azami LE heads into prestige territory at $73,800 with six seats rather than seven, designed more for comfort than all-out carrying capacity.
