Sometimes you get to drive a car that ticks all the boxes – that happened recently when I took the wheel of Lexus’s RC-F Coupe – a rear-drive super coupe with an incredible performance credential – with 5.0-litre 351 kW V8 pumping out 530Nm of torque this super coupe is no shrinking violet. In eight speed automatic with manual paddle shifters the Lexus RC-F is a stunning driver – the F incidentally stands for Fuji Speedway in Japan where this super coupe’s race bred performance was developed. I can’t recall a more satisfying performance car than the Lexus RC-F – supremely confident in all it does with outstanding handling and braking that matches jaw dropping performance with a 0 to 100km time of just 4.5-seconds. The test car at $138,000 was stunning in Mica Red paint – the paint a high point on a Lexus coupe with simply gorgeous styling – yes I was impressed and simply the best Lexus I’ve driven.
