Gosford Classic Car Museum Auction

David Berthon

Next Saturday night Gosford Classic Car Museum is staging its first collector car auction in conjunction with Pickles with an interesting mix of cars of varying ages. The collector car scene continues to grow at a rapid rate and with the advent of programs like Chasing Classic Cars on Foxtel it knows no boundaries. Four cars look set to break Australian records with huge interest in the 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase 111 high-performance sedan. Much higher up the scale the 1968 Lamborghini Miura Coupe is expected to be highly fought over, so too the rare 1998 Porsche 959 and race-bred Jaguar XJR15. More than 60 cars will go under the hammer and if you’re in the market to buy a classic this auction offers a great opportunity. Viewing is available next Friday and Saturday at the Museum, Stockyard Place West Gosford or check out the cars on classiccars.pickles.com.au – the auction gets under way at 6pm. I’m David Berthon.
