Germany to shut down all of its coal-fired & nuclear power plants by 2038
The was extraordinary news on the energy front yesterday when it was announced by a government-appointed commission that Germany will phase out coal fire & nuclear power plants by 2038.
In a move away from fossil fuels, the plan is to shift to renewable sources of power which made up more than 40 percent of the energy mix last year, beating coal for the first time.
