FULL SHOW: 4BC Weekend Breakfast with Olympia Kwitowski, Saturday 17th August 2024

On the show today: Gardening Hour sees Paul Plant and Olympia discuss tips for your hanging baskets: including what type of frame works best and the ideal plants to house inside your basket. Paul also answers your questions about repotting a Zanzibar Gem plant, flower bulbs that suit our climate, and why linking to local garden groups can be incredibly helpful to budding gardeners. PLUS Paul introduces his plant of the week: the Bay Laurel (Laurus Nobilis) – known for the Bay Leaf! This is a great hedge or screening plant for your home that can also be a pot plant, and of course handy in cooking!
In the second hour; Olympia chats with Sunreef Mooloolaba’s John Fell who entices us to get amongst the Whales as their season starts early. John tells us more about Sunreef and their swim with whales experience.
Olympia also chats with Julie Minikin, Owner and operator of Tamborine Mountain Glades. Formerly known as Cedar Creek Lodges and Thunderbird Park; Julie tells us about the rebranding of this special place and it’s certification by EcoTourism Australia.
PLUS: We hear from Andrew South of First National By The Bay for a weekly real estate update.
