Electric sharknet may have prevented Whitsunday attack
An Australian company has launched a new product that it says works as an invisible sharknet.
The Ocean Guardian Boat01 is a bouy that sits in water powered from a boat that creates an electrical field to a depth of about 8 metres which interferes with a sharks sensory organs.
Ocean Guardian CEO Lindsay Lyon tells Mark the device could of prevented the attack that killed 33 year medico Daniel Christidis in the Whitsundays late last year.
