Cancer identifying technology to measure meat quality

New technology originally designed for identifying cancer cells is being used to measure the quality of meat.

The intramuscular fat needle is fitted with a tiny camera, taking a high resolution scan of the fat structure, which is then analysed by a computer.

University of Adelaide Professor Rob McLaughlin spoke with rural editor Eddie Summerfield.
