New figures show the caravan and camping industries pump more than $20 billion into the Australian economy each year.

A report for the Caravan Industry Association of Australia finds the industry supports more than 53,000 direct jobs.

Association spokesman Peter Clay tells Mark 90% of the money gets spent in regional areas and Queensland is a big beneficiary.
