Battling the ‘burnout epidemic’ from remote work

As we continue to face the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, it appears that the alarming aftermath is already beginning to emerge.

A recent Australian survey found that amongst 2,700 executives, 84% of Australian bosses are at risk of burnout, 75% feel pulled in too many different directions and 60% feel stressed, anxious and prone to extreme self-doubt.

October is Safe Work and Mental Health month, national campaigns that raise awareness towards the signs, symptoms and strategies for combating burnout. As well as this, these movements encourage individuals to make the commitment to care for their mental wellbeing and the safety of others.

CEO and leading psychologist of the Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey, Audrey McGibbon, joins John Stanley to discuss what has now been coined, the ‘Burnout Epidemic’.
