Man tasered by police after SUV ploughs into Logan home

A woman and children were lucky to escape serious injury after a car ploughed into their home in Logan.
Police say a 37-year-old man, who was allegedly under the influence of an “intoxicating substance” at the time, drove the SUV into the Eagleby home just after 7pm.
Neighbours were first on the scene to help the woman and children, who sustained minor injuries.
It’s alleged the man became aggressive when police arrived on the scene, forcing officers to deploy a taser and use a police dog to apprehend him.
He has since been charged with several offences, including obstructing police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and deprivation of liberty.
The female resident and three occupants of the SUV were taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
