Tom Cruise won’t be outdone after Russia released a trailer for a highly-anticipated film shot on the International Space Station.

Actors and the director working on The Challenge were sent to space to film parts of the movie, thwarting plans by Tom Cruise to be the first to do so.

But astrophysicist Brad Tucker told Laurel, Gary & Mark the Mission: Impossible actor is now aiming higher.

“This all started because Tom Cruise said, ‘Hey, I want to work with Space X and NASA to film a movie in space and do my own stunts’,” he said.

“And so, they said that’s a great idea but Elon Musk’s ego bumped him because he didn’t want Tom Cruise to get all the glory, so he put his friend in this private mission in space.

“Now Tom Cruise is thinking bigger, in only the way Tom Cruise can do…”
