Petrol prices are at their highest levels since January and they’re not coming down anytime soon.

Chris Huth from MotorMouth tells Warren Moore now is the time to fill up the tank.

“At the moment, Sydney is at the bottom of the cycle and we will see those prices hang in for a few more days.

“As people get ready for the New Year’s long weekend I would suggest filling up now is a good idea.”

Chris advises consumers to monitor the petrol cycle on their smartphone and vote with their feet.

“Keep track of the cycle so you can have an idea where that cheap day might be.

“Buy at the cheap service stations. That’s how you put pressure on the market.”
