How police uncovered more than a tonne of ice in record-breaking bust

NSW police have stopped more than a tonne of the drug ice from entering the country in Australia’s largest seizure ever.
Australian Border Force officers last month uncovered almost 750 kilograms methamphetamine concealed in marble stone coming in to Port Botany.
It led officers to detect a further tonne of the drug arriving in the same fashion.
Three men have been arrested and remain before the courts.
A further men have been arrested after authorities discovered 160 kilograms of ice hidden inside a 1960 vintage Bentley S2 at Port Botany last month.
An x-ray revealed a few anomalies, leading to the discovery of $150 million worth of ice behind the headlights.
Police arrested two men in Sydney’s north-west yesterday and another in the state’s north.
It means police intercepted more than 1800 kilograms of the drug, which has an estimated street value of $1.6 billion.
