High-speed chase of car with no tyres ends in crash on Bruce Highway

A woman is in custody after police were involved in a high-speed chase with a car with no tyres on the Bruce Highway.
Witnesses say the car was travelling in excess of 150km per hour with no tyres, creating sparks on the road before eventually crashing near the Sunshine Coast.
Police say they chased the car all the way from Gympie.

Listener Matthew rang Ben Fordham Live from the scene to report the moment the vehicle crashed near Aussie World at Palmview.
“There were like eight police cars chasing him, there was no rubber on the tyres.
“There were police officers with spikes under a couple of bridges that got him.”
