Australian Olympic gold-medalist Glynis Nunn joins the many Queenslanders that have doubts about the 2032 Brisbane Olympic games.

Glynis Nunn OAM grew up in Toowoomba and has had a sparkling athletic career at the elite level – winning a gold medal in the heptathlon at the ’84 LA Olympic games and gold in the ’82 Brisbane Commonwealth games.

But rather than being excited about the games in her home State, Ms Nunn told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live that she’s “wary” of the money that’s being spent.

The former athlete added that “the Olympics has changed and it will never be what it used to be”.

The Olympics are “still something that’s very special”, but Ms Nunn was relieved to be involved in the games when she was, rather than now.
