Doubts Suncorp Stadium will ‘find a solution’ to fans’ repulsive behaviour
Suncorp Stadium’s general manager admits he doesn’t know if there’s a solution to combating the repulsive behaviour of some footy fans.
The Cauldron’s neighbours say they’re fed up with anti-social activity occurring after NRL games.
Nichola Burton, a resident of nearby Clifton Street, says it’s not out of the ordinary to find human excrement outside her home.
But Alan Graham says while the behaviour is unacceptable, he’s not sure there’s much the stadium can do to prevent it.
“I think there’s always been incidents we deal with on a regular basis,” he told Spencer Howson, filling in for Neil Breen.
“We could get more of that messaging out and as I said, just working closely with the police around being proactive with their patrols around the area.
Mr Graham is meeting with police today to discuss increasing police patrols in the area.
“I don’t know that the stadium can ever find a solution to anti-social behaviour,” he admitted.
“It’s just a constant issue everyone needs to address. We’ll do the best we can.
“We don’t take their complaints lightly, we take them very seriously.”
