Christmas cooking: How to cook the best baked ham!
Bill McDonald is hoping to avoid any Christmas cooking fails this year.
So he asked his best mate, a foodie and home gourmet cook, Angelo Galano, for his tips for the best cooked ham.
He’s got a sure fire way to nail it, including the all-important glaze.
Below is the recipe + method!
Ingredients:
- Whole ham (5-6kg)
- 2 cups apricot jam
- 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
- 4 tablespoon brown vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of mustard powder
- 1/2 cup brandy
Instructions:
- Sieve warm jam, combine with remaining ingredients, mix well in saucepan
- Stir constantly over heat until mixture boils
- Turn off, stir and leave to cool
