Sam Cooke was the King Of Soul but in 1963, at the tender age of 33, his life was tragically cut short by a bullet.

During his seven year career he posted 30 U.S top 40 hits and along the way became an seminal figure in the civil rights movement.

His legacy is being remembered in a show at Brisbane’s Powerhouse called The Songs & Times of Sam Cooke – A Change is Gonna Come.
