4BC team member Hayley recounted a terrifying 3:30 AM attempted break-in at her home by a group of apparent youth offenders, who then smashed into her neighbour’s house to steal cars and allegedly hold them at knife-point.

The incident has sparked heated discussion on air over police warnings about rising school holiday crime and the apparent failure of ‘adult crime, adult time’ measures to deter young criminals.
