The Brisbane City Council has supported a decision allowing developers to include fewer carparks in new high-density apartments in the inner city.

In 2024, the Lord Mayor introduced this policy in four suburbs, which will be expanded to 15.

Bill McDonald said on 4BC Mornings, “I understand what the Lord Mayor is hoping to achieve but I’m not convinced it does much more than put more money in developers pockets.”
