The community rallying to save the beloved Suttons Beach Pavilion in Redcliffe have had a win.

After weeks of public pressure, the Moreton Bay Regional Council has agreed to work with the community to preserve the building in some way.

Suttons Beach Pavilion restaurant owner Oli Thompson told Neil Breen while it’s good news, he will still be evicted.

“We would love to stay of course … and work with the council on how we can operate while they do further investigation but as it stands today, I’ve still got seven days of trading roughly.

“Good news for the building, I’ve got to focus on the positives.”
