9 in 10 of us are clueless about retirement
We’ll all be retiring at some stage, but most of us aren’t planning far enough ahead.
A recent study has found 90% of us are clueless about retirement and two-thirds of us believe we can get by on less than $1 million.
The reality is we should all be squirreling much, much more away.
Vanessa Stoykov is on a mission to help Aussies plan for their retirement, authoring The Breakfast Club for 40-Somethings.
She tells Chris Smith the book holds advice in its fictional pages.
“It’s a story of six friends who were in their forties, who go to their school reunion and their life looks great on Facebook.
“But when you scratch the surface, everyone’s got problems. And the big common denominator is money.”
