Young small business owner left frustrated by opportunistic thieves

Brisbane Live

An 18-year-old business owner who hires out skip bins has been left frustrated after thieves stole wheels and urinated on the side of the bins.

Law student at QUT Liam Brew runs the business to pay for his uni books.

The skip bins were parked in McDowall when they were targeted.

“I arrived to pick up the skip bins, and there were seven wheels stolen across four skip bins, all the wheel nuts had been taken and there was an overwhelming smell of urine that was on across the hitches and light plugs,” he told Peter Fegan on Brisbane Live.

It will cost $1200 to replace, on top of the lost work.
