Many parts of south-east Queensland have recorded their coldest November morning since 2006.

A very active front and low pressure system have moved into the state earlier this week, bringing cold air from the south.

It’s been described as “out of the ordinary temperatures” due to a polar jet stream colliding with a sub-tropical jet stream over south-east Queensland.
