Transport Minister hits back at Lord Mayor over ‘fantasy tunnel’

Main Roads and Transport Minister Mark Bailey has hit back at Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner over a “fantasy tunnel” in Brisbane’s north-side.
Brisbane City Council’s proposal for the 11-kilometre, $14.1 billion tunnel, which would link Alderly to Bald Hills, was rejected by Infrastructure Australia.
The plan sparked a public stoush between the pair.
“The only group that’s done any planning on this is the city council, and their misrepresentation on this is one of the most dishonest things I’ve seen,” Mr Bailey told Neil Breen.
