Telstra admits 100,000 customers may have been charged for services they weren’t aware or didn’t mean to sign up for.

The telco is facing a $10 million penalty for misleading customers with it’s handling of a now-discontinued Premier Direct Billing.

It allowed consumers to purchase content like videos and apps from third-parties, and have it charged to their mobile accounts.

Telstra has agreed to compensate affected customers.
