Parts of Queensland are set for a rollercoaster week of wild weather.

Huge wind gusts have already been battering in Brisbane and across the south-east.

Nine News Gold Coast weather presenter Luke Bradnam said strong south-easterly winds started in the city around 9am today.

Brisbane Airport recorded wind gusts of 74k/hr, although Oakey took out the record today with wind gusts of 78k/hr.

“We’ve sustained wind gusts over 50km/hr around the south east today.”

There’s even been reports of snow at Eukey.

While inland, Queenslanders have been put on alert for a ‘Very High’ bushfire danger, with that warning expected to be extended across the state.
