A Queensland woman has had quite the fright after discovering an unwelcome bedfellow.

Snake catcher Zachery Richards was called to a Maroon property after a resident uncovered an eastern brown while changing her sheets.

“It was quite a warm day that day,” Mr Richards told Laurel, Gary & Mark.

“I reckon it would have been seeking shelter, trying to come inside, looking for somewhere a little bit cooler to try and have a bit of relaxation and a bit of a snooze!”
