It’s been estimated that the market for pet technology, such as smart cameras for pet owners to observe their pets’ antics while away from home, will exceed $27.8 billion by 2027.

 

But the answer to tackling the rise in lonely canines is more complicated, as research suggests that eight out of 10 dogs will find it hard to cope when left on their own, with half of these not showing any obvious signs of distress.
