Peter Fegan is questioning a move by the government to rebrand South East Queensland to the Greater Brisbane region.

The Breakfast host says he can understand the motive for the rebrand.

“The argument is … we’ll be better recognised around the world, but I don’t know that it will ever happen,” he said.
